TAFF( TUNKU AZIZAH FERTILITY FOUNDATION)

Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation was established by Tengku Puan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah in 2004. And, its already sponsored IVF treatment for 240 couples and another 5,000 were on the waiting list. About 53 IVF babies have been born with the help of Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation.
Tunku Azizah herself had sought infertility treatments all over the world and had experienced 16 failures and 6 miscarriages. Just when she thought it was futile, she finally conceived under the medical care of a Malaysian infertility specialist, Dr PC Wong. Tunku Azizah is now a mother to six happy and healthy children.

So, what is Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation? Well, this fertility foundation provides financial assistance to needy infertile couples. Yes, it will pay all your treatment expenses!

But, not all infertile couples can apply for the foundation sponsorship. Since IVF treatment cost usually between RM10,000 to RM15,000, you could only apply if:

1.Your combined household income (you + your husband) LESS than RM4,000 per month
2.You have been married for at least 3 years
3.You must receive treatment at infertility centres recognized by the Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation such as iCare Fertility Centre at Island Hospital, Penang.
You see, I know about Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation since I was married in 2004. But, since the criterias are strictly for low-income infertile couples, I have to forget about getting this foundation’s help.

Well, our combined income are much more than RM4,000 per month. There’s no way we could be accepted in the foundation’s program.

But, IVF treatment of RM10,000 above is also way too much for us to afford.

So, if you think you could fulfilled all the criterias set – I would say, go register with Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation. Well, there are currently 5,000 couples on the waiting list. But, if didn’t try you will never know when you will get lucky.
And, if you’re like me (joint income more than RM4,000 per month), please don’t be frustrated. There are other ways that you could do. LPPKN is an example of an affordable fertility treatments that you can get.

The point is, don’t ever stop trying.
